BROOKLYN - Williamsburg Anti-Semetic Hate Crime

Swastikas were found scratched inside an elevator on Ross Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

There was another sign of hate in Brooklyn when swastikas were found in an elevator on Friday.

The discovery in the building in Williamsburg came just hours before the Jewish Sabbath.

The Anti-Semitic incident is the third in Brooklyn within the past month.

In one incident, police responded to a call of cars on fire at Ocean Parkway between Avenue I and Bay Parkway in Brooklyn on November 11th. Nearby park benches were spray painted with swastikas.

In another incident, a vandal altered a sign at the J train subway station in a heavily Jewish neighborhood of Midwood. The letters "e" and "w" added with blue spray paint at the end of the "J" in the Avenue J sign to make it read "Avenue Jew."

Police ask anyone with information in regards to these incidents to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
