Ramapo, NY - New Square Hatzolah Assist in Reviving Town Code Enforcement Officer


Ramapo, NY - A Town of Ramapo code enforcement officer, Oscar Geiss, was involved in a car accident while driving on Route 45 when the vehicle ran off the road and struck a fire hydrant near Greenridge Way.

An off-duty Rockland County corrections officer witnessed the crash and assisted at the scene performing CPR. New Square Hatzolah Emergency Services arrived and Geiss’ pulse was restored.

He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern by Hatzolah where he remains for treatment and evaluation, police said.
